Where the Mother Rests, Rebuilds, and Rises

Tucked between river and mountain in the highlands of Guatemala, Río Madre is a sanctuary for the mother, the earth, and the breath of life.
This land carries the memory of water, the hum of children’s laughter, and the heartbeat of women remembering their power.

Río Madre is a living prayer, a peaceful Haven.
A sacred home where healing unfolds naturally, where time slows, and where the mother is honored as a holy force of creation.

This sanctuary was born through my own journey. As a single mother raising my daughter after a traumatic birth and NICU experience, I longed for a place where I could be held in truth, where my nervous system could exhale, and where I didn’t have to choose between devotion and survival.
That place didn’t exist, so I began creating it.

Río Madre is the embodiment of that dream.
It is my home, my heart, and my offering to all mothers who carry more than they speak.

✧ A Sanctuary in Sacred Development

Río Madre is unfolding slowly and intentionally, in deep listening to the land and to the spirit of the Mother. This is a vision built from the heart, for the healing of generations.

Currently, all in-person sessions are held here, by the riverside.

Over time, this sanctuary will grow to include:

• Two rental casitas for mothers
  Private, earth-built cabins with natural materials, warm design, and water from the sacred river. These homes will offer space for rest, retreat, and reconnection, especially for mothers walking through transition, healing, or creative rebirth.

• A yoga and movement platform
  A raised wooden deck overlooking the water and mountain, open for somatic practice, sound journeys, gatherings, and ceremonies rooted in the feminine body.

• A riverside temazcal
  For purification, renewal, and deep release in sacred sweat and prayer.

• A healing garden and children’s play area
  Where little ones run free, and nature co-parents in the gentlest way.
